As you can see, I’ve finally made a graphic for my blog header. I’ve been working on it for quite a while, as it’s been hard to find a program where I could put “dashed” lines around the border of the header.
I tried GIMP, Paint.NET and even Photoshop (to no avail). I thought I’d have luck w/ Photoshop, but I didn’t have the time available to dig into all the intricacies of the program. I did find a tutorial someone did on dashed lines, but you had to create a brush-style, do this…do that, yada yada yada.
Over the weekend I discovered a FREE program that gave me what I wanted with a few clicks. The program I discovered is called PhotoScape, and I HIGHLY recommend it! I was able to open my graphic (as it stood without the border) in editor-mode, click “Frame Line”, customize the line w/ a couple of clicks, and then I had my final product…WOW!!!
If you get a chance, download a copy HERE and give it a try yourself. You won’t be disappointed, as it has many other features that are quite handy (and too many to mention here).
I’m now going to go back and rework my blog button w/ the program.
i have used photoscape on several of my photos that i've taken to "Pretty them up" and it works out very very nice
