  7. Dierdre Cook says:

My favorite school memory is going on the 8th grade field trip to a forest preserve. That was the only field trip we went on, so this was the awaited day of the year. There was frenetic energy surging through the class and we couldn’t wait to be let loose in the “wild”. It was a great day with very few casualties, a few wet clothes, some bruised egos, and memories that we still talk about 23 years later.

  8. Angela Garrett says:

My favorite back to school memory was school shopping for school and then of course meeting up with friends I hadn’t seen over the summer.

  9. Mine has to be going back to college my sophmore year. My brother was attending the same school and came over to my room to get some breakfast since the dining halls weren’t open yet. Surprise! On e of my best (platonic) buds answered the door. My poor brother’s face when a man opened the door at 7 in the morning still makes me smile nearly 20 years later. My friend had come over the night before to put together some furniture for me and fallen asleep. Serves my brother right for taking the screwdriver with him the evening before!

My favorite back to school memory was getting to see my friends again after every summer and reconnecting. Talking about our summers and vacations and making it to lunch time! In middle school, the only air conditioned room was the computer room so we always looked forward to that class where we got to sit in the cool air in the hot school months and play educational games!
