Sweet or Salty….What’s Your Choice? Prize Pack Giveaway!

What type of snack does the man in your life like? Well, for me it’s DEFINITELY something sweet! Whenever I feel the urge to snack, I seek out anything chocolate, and 90% of the time its Dark Chocolate I crave.

That’s why when I received this “Sweet and Salty” gift pack from General Mills (through MyBlogSpark), I tried my hardest to contain myself. Along with a Bugles t-shirt and a Nature Valley travel coffee mug, I received samples of the following NEW items from General Mills, all sold exclusively at local convenience stores:

  • Cocoa Puffs Treats Triple Chocolate: An indulgent cereal bar that combines the great taste of Cocoa Puffs cereal and chocolate into one decadent treat, Cocoa Puffs Treats Triple Chocolate is perfect for satisfying any sweet tooth.
  • Bugles “Hot Buffalo”: Need something salty with a bit of a kick? Look no further than Bugles Hot Buffalo Crisp Corn Snacks, which blends the taste of hot buffalo sauce with crispy corn Bugles.
  • Nature Valley Oats ‘N Dark Chocolate Crunchy Granola Bars: If you want the best of both worlds, give Nature Valley Oats ‘N Dark Chocolate Crunchy Granola Bars a try. These bars mix dark chocolate pieces, oats and crisp rice nuggets for a classic crunch and burst of whole grain goodness, making them a perfect natural snack that’s high in fiber and protein, but low in saturated fat.

I had so much fun sampling these items, and I LOVED them all! I can now see myself reaching for ANY of the three items when that snacking urge hits while “on the run.”

Now it’s your turn to try these items for yourself, or that special man in your life. Hey, if you win it could mean one less gift to get for Father’s Day…just a suggestion!

One lucky Coupon Clippin’ Daddy winner will receive a prize pack from General Mills containing the following:

- (2) Cocoa Puffs Treats Triple Chocolate Cereal Bars
- (2) bags of Bugles, “Hot Buffalo” style
- (2) Nature Valley Oats ‘N Dark Chocolate Crunchy Granola Bars

Some Info On General Mills Cereals: Less Sugar For Kids = Healthier

Recently, General Mills announced a commitment to further reduce sugar in cereals advertised to kids under 12 to single digit grams of sugar per serving. The company had already been reducing sugar in cereals, while increasing key nutrients such as calcium and vitamin D, and providing whole grain.

It’s a fact that ready-to-eat cereal eaters consume less fat, less cholesterol and more fiber than non-cereal eaters. Cereals also deliver important vitamins, minerals and other essential nutrients, making cereal a top source of key nutrients in children´s diets.

Other benefits of eating cereal:

  • Ready-to-eat cereals, including presweetened cereals, account for only 5% of sugar in children´s diets.
  • Ready-to-eat cereal is the No. 1 source of whole grains in a child´s diet today.
  • More frequent cereal eaters tend to have healthier body weights and lower Body Mass Index measures.
Studies also demonstrate the benefits of eating breakfast. A 1998 study showed that children who eat breakfast tend to perform better at school. Compared to children who skip breakfast, children who eat breakfast score higher on tests, are less likely to miss class or be tardy, have fewer reported discipline problems, and make fewer trips to the office.
