Be sure to thank a Veteran (or current Military member) for their dedicated service to our country. It is because of their dedication and sacrifice that we are FREE!

To show their support, some establishments are offering FREE items today for our Active Duty and Veteran Military members! However, I strongly urge you to check with your local store for participation before heading out. A Military form of ID will be required to get any of these FREEBIES today (valid for Veterans and Active Duty):

    Outback Steakhouse is honoring our Veterans and Active Military with a FREE Bloomin’ Onion and a Coke **, from today thru Friday (11/7 – 11/11) in celebration of Veterans Day!
    ** The FREE Bloomin’ Onion® and Coca-Cola® promotion is open to Military Personnel who have one of the following forms of identification on November 7-11, 2011: U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), Veterans Organization Card (i.e., American Legion and VFW), DD214 Certificate, Veteran Identification Card (VIC), Photograph in Uniform or Wearing Uniform.     The Wounded Warrior Project has launched a new initiative, Believe in Heroes, to help Americans recognize the HUGE sacrifices our newest generation of veterans has made to keep us safe.     The Home Depot: Make A FREE Veteran’s Day Picture Frame

    The Home Depot will be having another FREE Kids Workshop tomorrow (11/5), with the item being a Veteran’s Day Picture Frame!

    This “Hands-On” workshop is designed for children 5-12 years of age, and will be held from 9am until noon at ALL Home Depot stores.

    I wanted again to say “THANK YOU” to all our veteran’s and active duty military for your dedicated service and sacrifices.

    Words can not say how much I appreciate you keeping my family safe, and all of us who cherish this country of ours. You families deserve a BIG “THANKS” as well, as they sacrifice for all of us as well!

    Please take a moment or two to say a prayer for our troops and their families, and to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

    • Applebee’s: Participating restaurants oare offering a FREE meal (select menu) to veterans with an ID. Click HERE for additional info and a list of locations.
    • Arby’s – free roast beef sandwich for veterans with ID or wearing uniforms.  Select locations; more information here.
    • Texas Roadhouse: Participating restaurants will be offering a FREE meal to veterans and active military with ID. You can choose a FREE meal off the “Early Dining Menu”, but you can come in anytime during the day! check with your local restaurant to see if they are participating.
    • Outback Steakhouse: Get a FREE Bloomin’ Onion and N-A beverage. More details are HERE 
    • Subway: FREE 6-inch sub to all Veterans and active duty military.
    • Little Caesars: FREE order of crazy bread for veterans and active military with ID.
    • US National Parks: Fee FREE day! Go HERE for more info and list of more than 100 parks.
    • Chili’s: FREE meal for veterans and active duty at participating locations. More information HERE.
    • Sam’s Club: FREE Hugo cane to US veterans. 25,000 will be given out, while supplies last. Sam’s membership NOT REQUIRED.
    • Uno Chicago Grill: Troops and former troops get a free entrée or individual pizza on Veterans Day with the purchase of an entrée or pizza of equal or greater value. Bring a buddy and split the cost. Show your ID card, or other documents such as a veterans’ organization membership card or DD-214.
    • Famous Dave’s BBQ: Participating restaurants are offering a FREE meal to all active and retired military personnel (up to $15 value). Call first to find out. Find a location HERE!
